As many of you know our gorgeous 12 month old cockapoo puppy went missing from a dog walk on Wednesday 11th June and was missing for 5 days where he was rescued from a brook in a farmers field on Sunday 15th June.

Without these incredible ladies we would never have found our Teddy..Teddy isn’t just a pet to us, he came into our family during a really difficult time and is very much a therapy dog to myself & our children. His calming & affectionate nature regulates us with our Autism & ADHD and without him we would have really struggled to cope.

The time and dedication they give with the knowledge and experience they’ve gained from doing this repeatedly from the goodness of their hearts is just exceptional. Dogs/cats can run into huge areas like Teddy did, with inaccessible and invisible immediate sighting locations requiring drone’s & binoculars especially with thermals to even get close to any hope of a sighting. These are incredibly costly and were vital in our efforts to find Teddy especially after 3 days of absolutely no sightings of him whatsoever.

Tim, myself & our children will be forever grateful to these wonderful ladies and it is important to us that we can try and do something to give back our gratitude. We will be carrying out some fundraising to hopefully raise enough money to purchase some thermal binoculars, walkie talkies and battery packs for the drones for further rescues. The drone batteries only have a 20 minute life window before needing recharging which can take multiple hours. Tim & I will be kickstarting the fundraising with a pier to pier cycle Blackpool to Southport on Sunday 13th July. More details to follow on social media.

No matter how much of a responsible owner you are, and how you never think it will happen to you, it only takes a second and it could be your dog!

We were inundated with the most overwhelming amount of support from our community and wider and please ask if you can give whatever you can how ever small, it will be appreciated beyond measure!!
