The Furniture Giveaway has been around for 10 years helping thousands of international students as they move into unfurnished apartments. Studentshave the opportunity to receive furniture, kitchen supplies, bikes, lamps, and more. International Friends serves lunch, provides water, and moves the furniture to students' apartments. This is an event that takes lots of volunteers and lots of support from the community to provide food, moving trucks, storage units, publicity supplies, and much more. All of these things cost approximately $3500. We are hoping for 70 people to give $50 for this event. You are welcome to give more or less.
This event from International Friends is the biggest of the year and provides opportunities for students to be connected to an international community that is here to welcome, serve, and empower students.
Jesus says, "For I was hungry, and you gave Me something to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave Me something to drink; I was a stranger, and you invited Me in." Help us as we attempt to do that for international students in St. Louis!
