Furnace, Gas line and Water softener repairs
Hello friends! As much as hard as it is to ask for donations, especially of this size .... it seems we must. One of our buildings is in great need of repair work. Some of the furnace duct work in the crawl space has rusted holes and pieces that have come off, gas lines have corroded over time, the water softener is leaking causing the floor to sag and some of the lines are older and just need updated and replaced. On the back side of the furnace duct work, there was a large hole found which when on, lets carbon monoxide out and into the building. To repair and update these items, the water heater and softener actually need to be moved to another location within the building. Currently, they are with the furnace in a very small room. Here is a list of repairs needed from the actual estimate.
Remove furnace, water softener and water heater from closet. Remove corroded copper gas line. Remove rusted through exhaust vent for the furnace. Remove existing water lines, furnace trunk line and all duct lines from crawl space. Install new galvanized exhaust for the furnace. Install new 1/2" black steel gas line from the exterior regulator to the furnace with new shut off valve and flex line connector. Reinstall furnace back to original position. Install new pex water lines from the main in the crawl space. Install new 40 gallon State electric water heater. Includes new wiring to the breaker box. Install new pex water lines from the water heater. Install water lines with manual bypass for water softener connection. New drain line and power outlet for softener. Install new water main loop with shutoff valve. Install new trunk lines on the plenum in the crawl space. Install all new insulated flex duct lines with new take offs and new register boots. Spray entire crawl space for bacteria growth after demo and prior to new install of mechanical.
This is a very large and unplanned project for us $11,000. But sadly, needs to be addressed soon as winter is coming and the furnace will need to be on. We know all too well that these times are trying on everyone, but these issues do need resolved to keep us as healthy as possible.
Any size donation would be greatly appreciated. In fact..... we have a very generous supporter that will match $3000! So up to that amount your donation will be doubled!! We thank you all for your continued support.
Love to you all..... Oddball, HPPH SpokesCat
