Eubanks family

Hi, my name is Rachael and I am fundraising for my aunt Christie and her husband Mitchell Eubanks. On September 23, 2022 Mitchell was Life flighted to Parkland in Dallas due to injuries he sustained while cutting a 55 gallon metal barrel open with a blow torch. Unknowingly, the barrel still contained flammable fumes. The barrel exploded only inches from him. It threw him backwards about 12 foot. The explosion was so severe that it shattered his left radius and ulna bones in his forearm as well as his left wrist. The broken bones punctured through the backside of his forearm leaving two large lacerations. The metal lid punctured his right forearm and fractured two bones in his right hand. The fireball blasted his face scorching off his hair, eyebrows and most of his beard. The metal lid hit him in the chest over his heart leaving a large hematoma. He sustained multiple bruises on his neck, chest, stomach and face. After numerous CT Scans and Xrays they took him to surgery where the doctors stabilized his left radius with external fixation and sutured his other lacerations. He will go back into surgery 9/27 to perform an internal fixation of the radius and ulna bones and then on 9/28 the hand specialist will do surgery to repair his wrist and hand fractures. Christie Eubanks is my aunt and Mitchell's wife. She is an RN at the Palestine Region Medical Center and Mitchell is retired from TDCJ. She will need to take unpaid leave for a while to help her husband recover. I am starting this fundraiser to help aid them in their time of need. This money will be used towards helping them with medical bills, medications, supplies as well as food, gas and other needs that may arise during the time they have to be away from home are not able to work. These are two of the most loving and caring people ever brought into my life and any help would be greatly appreciated.
