Blessings for Heather Thacker Logan

On February 7, my daughter Heather Logan underwent surgery to remove a pituitary tumor, surgery went well however within 24 hrs she began to vomit, have abnormal labs, symptoms worsened over the next couple of days. On February 10, Heather woke in the middle of the night violently vomiting and had developed double vision. She was taken for scans, labs drawn which revealed what her neurosurgeons feared, Heather had a brain bleed. She was taken into ER surgery, repair went well however when she woke up double vision remained as well as left leg weakness. Heather remained in Vanderbilt for 2 weeks then discharged to Vanderbilt Stallworth Rehab.

 

Since discharge she has been working with PT /OT twice a week. She has graduated from the walker however still having gait issues. Heather has been evaluated by Neuro-Opthalmologist who is optimistic about her vision however due to nerve damage in left eye, it will take time. Heather has unfortunately not been able to return to work as originally expected in April due to double vision and still unable to drive.

Her extra benefits to pay for time off have ended however her monthly bills have not as well as mounting medical bills. So I am asking family & friends who know and love her to reach out and help bless her in this time of need. If you know my daughter, you know she easily gives however will rarely ask for anything she needs.

 

Any funds received will go to pay her monthly household bills, car insurance, food, medical bills & medications for the next 3-4 months.
