Dear Fashion and Textile Studies Family,

Lourdes Font, long time and much loved professor in our program lost everything in a devastating fire on March 12th.  Not a stick of furniture, piece of clothing, or book was salvageable. Nor can she ever go back to her building. Our collective hearts break for her.

As a person who has so tirelessly helped us at FIT, she could use a little help from us now. We have started this GoFund Me donation site for her.  There is nothing we can do to bring back her losses, but we can reassure her that she has our love and that we can in some way help her forge ahead with her new life. Your participation alone will mean a lot, and we know we can reach this goal with many small donations.

One more thing, out of respect for her privacy we have not put this on social media of any kind.  This is just for us as a community so please respect that, let’s help out discreetly and not share on social media!
