Fung Yee ChanYu's funeral fund
Donation protected
Fung Yee ChanYu (Mama Yu) passed away Friday August 7, 2020 from terminal bone and liver cancer.
A loving mother, a kind caretaker, and an amazing friend. She definitely was one-of-a-kind. She had the biggest personality and would always put others before herself. She would always want to know how you were doing and was ready to help people despite a language barrier. She was such a brave and strong woman; 12.5 years ago she battled and survived Stage 3 Breast Cancer and was put on remission for 10 years. Shortly after 10 years, the cancer came back and metastasized to her bone and liver. At that time, the doctor diagnosed her cancer as terminal but that didn’t make her lose hope. She decided to battle cancer once again.
As her one and only child, I can not say enough good things about her because there are too many. Most people knew of her from all the crazy and funny stories I’d tell. Those stories would always bring laughter and a smile to someone’s face. I want to thank her for everything - from bringing me into this world to supporting my life choices that paved the way to where I am now.
Please feel free to honor her memory by sharing her stories.
The funds will be used to offset funeral expenses during this difficult time. We greatly appreciate any amount you’re able to donate.
