Funerals Cost For My Mother
Donation protected
Dear family and friends,
As most of you are aware, my mother, Pok Rem, recently passed away due to health complications. This unexpected news came sudden as she just spent New Year’s earlier this month, laughing and eating with loved ones. I did not expect that a check up for shortness of breath would lead to one less beautiful soul in my life.
Through her life experiences that ranged from surviving the Killing Fields of Cambodia to being a successful single mother in an unknown country, my mother taught me many valuable lessons in life. One that comes to mind is to treat others with kindness, especially if we want karma to be on our side. I remember my mother as a kind, loving woman that is unselfish and would go out of her way to put others first. Furthermore, she undoubtedly loves her family and this was evident through her character and motherly nature that left impressionable smiles on our faces. In my eyes, she is the epitome of what a mother should be and leaves a great legacy behind through her children, grandchildren, and those influenced by her.
I am sending this out with a heavy heart, asking for donations to help offset the costs of the funeral and religious services held next Friday, 22 Feb. For those that can contribute, every penny helps, and I thank you all for the support in the matter and keeping us in your prayers.
