Funeral Aide for Tereso Trinidad

Donation protected
Tereso Trinidad passed away on November 20th, 2020 at 6:08PM EST due to complications from COVID.

Right now, we do not have the funds to have a funeral services for him. We just weren't prepared for this. We should have been, and I am so, so sorry for that. His body is still at the hospital because of finances. I know he hated asking for help. But for him to be honored and buried, please, I have to do this. Please, if you can help, I thank you beyond all words.

There are great men out in the world. There are ones you would call fantastic and wonderful and many other adjectives that fall into the English dictionary. But one thing about Tereso Trinidad that is concrete was that he was such a good man. A really, really good man. When I say that - being a good man - you know what I mean. He was a good person deep down into his bones. There was no one like him. And that too, you could say about many other people - but for him, there was honestly never anyone like him. There never will be. He was not perfect, no. No one is. But he was so, so good. The world was a better place because of him.

He would never want one of these done for him. He would say burn his body and toss the ashes to sea. And his family is the type who uses his word as law. We admire him so much that anything he said, anything he requested or asked, we would honor through and through. And while I would want to respect his mentality that one of these were not needed - I just can’t.

Tereso Trinidad, my father, our family’s rock - he deserves to have a service where he can be put to rest. Where he is at peace. If you can aide in any way, please know you will be forevermore etched into my heart. Into my family’s soul.

The goal of his funeral fundraiser is a combination of the balance for his plot at Jacksonville Memorial Gardens Cemetery & Funeral Home, the casket, funeral services at St. Catherine’s Catholic church, and transportation services. If there are any funds donated above the goal, they will be used to pay off final balances for any and all of his debts (they are currently four months behind on rent).

His spouse, my mother, Joy Bullock, was diagnosed today with COVID. She is in isolation at their house for now. So I am working with my brother, Terry Trinidad, to help and put together everything for his funeral services and burial. Regardless of your religious affiliations, if you could please keep my mother and Tereso’s family in your thoughts, it would mean a great deal. Thank you. Just, thank you so, so much.

Thank you for reading and contributing if you are able to. It means more than I can string together in words. And I am good with words.

Final note: Please wear a mask. They save lives. You can save lives. You may not get sick from COVID, but the family member of a person you are around may not be as safe. They may get sick. It could be worse than that. It’s not just about you - but about other’s too. So please - wear a mask.
