"Queridos y estimados amigos y familiares, mi nombre es Hector Rodriguez. Les escribo por este medio para informarles que el día lunes, 08 de abril, falleció mi madre querida.

Marianella González de Rodríguez nació en Venezuela y vivía en Boston Massachusetts. En los ultimos 2 años de vida, le detectaron cancer del colon y fue tratada en el Boston Medical Center con mucho ánimo de vivir continuó su vida asistiendo el East Boston Senior Center y haciendo voluntariado en el East Boston Community Soup Kitchen.

Fue una mujer guerrera, determinada y agarrada de la mano de Dios.

Este es un momento difícil para nosotros y es por eso que junto a mis amigos decidimos crear esta campaña de GoFundMe para buscar apoyo económico con el fin de repatriar los restos de mi mamá desde Estados Unidos a Caracas, Venezuela.

Luego de sus tratamientos de quimio, ella deseaba viajar a Caracas como su último deseo. Regresar a su hogar con su otro hijo y su familia.

Inesperadamente, durante su viaje, sufrió una descompensación total durante su escala en Republica Dominicana. Ella fue regresada a los EEUU, en Florida, donde se encontraba sola, lo cual la llevo a un viaje de vuelta al hospital donde dio sus últimos respiros.

En este momento enfrentamos no solo la carga emocional, sino también, la necesidad de cubrir los costos asociados con el sepelio, cremación y repatriación.

Esta campaña de recolección financiera está destinada a recaudar los fondos para cubrir los gastos, que incluyen el transporte y los trámites necesarios para llevar a mi mamá de regreso a su país natal.

Cualquier contribución es apreciada y será de gran ayuda en este momento difícil, permitiéndonos despedirnos de ella de la manera que pueda cumplir su deseo de descansar en Caracas.

Marianella González de Rodríguez was born in Venezuela and lived in Boston Massachusetts. She was a warrior woman, determined and holding the hand of God.

This is a difficult time for us and that is why together with my friends we decided to create this GoFundMe campaign to seek financial support in order to repatriate my mother's remains from the United States to Caracas, Venezuela.

After her chemo treatments, she wanted to travel to Caracas as her last wish. Return to her home with his other son and her family.

Unexpectedly, during her trip, she suffered a total decompensation during her stopover in the Dominican Republic. She was returned to the US, in Florida, where she was alone, which led to a trip back to the hospital where she took her last breaths.

At this time we face not only the emotional burden, but also the need to cover the costs associated with burial, cremation and repatriation.

This financial collection campaign is intended to raise funds to cover expenses, which include the transportation and paperwork necessary to take my mother back to her native country.
