We are saddened and shocked by the heartbreaking news that Zubair Afzali’s son died in a tragic accident this Sunday, July 24. The unexpected death of a child is an unimaginable loss that no one could prepare for. This GoFundMe drive is for volunteer contributions to help his family manage expenses as they grieve the loss of their son. Zubair has been working for over three months with the IT ServiceDesk at HQ, but he has a much longer history with the IRC. Not only was his family resettled by the IRC, but he worked as a volunteer (interpreter) in the Elizabeth, New Jersey office for several months. He is well-respected and deeply liked by all who cross his path.
