Our beloved Grandma, Roeum Kim, passed away peacefully on January 13, 2025, at 5:53 PM. True to her wishes, she was surrounded by her loving family at home in her final moments.
Our Grandma was an extraordinary woman whose life was marked by resilience and love. Alongside our Grandpa, she escaped the horrors of genocide and rebuilt her life in the United States in 1981. Together they raised eight children and helped to nurture 19 grandchildren. She even lived to meet her three great-grandchildren, bringing her immense joy.
Grandma loved her family deeply and was happiest when we were all together—though trips to the casino were a close second. She was fiercely honest, strong-willed, and deeply devoted to those she loved. There was nothing she wouldn’t do for her family. Even in her final days, she fought with remarkable strength. While it breaks our hearts to say goodbye, we take comfort in knowing she is no longer in pain. Her love and legacy will live on in all of us.
As we come together to celebrate her incredible life, we are seeking donations to help cover the costs of her funeral service. Any contribution, no matter how small, would mean the world to us and allow us to give her the farewell she so deeply deserves. Thank you for your kindness and support during this difficult time.
