54 years ago God blessed this world with a dynamic woman. She gave birth to two sons. She named her first, Andre, and her second, Christopher. Throughout their youth, she literally worked day and night to provide for them. She taught them the love of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, day in and day out. She based all decisions on the word of God. By the grace of God, she was able to transfer those deep values to her children. As her children grew into men, those teachings became ever more apparent in their lives. She prayed for their safekeeping and for their lives to bear prosperous fruits and because of this her children, her young men grew into adults that would lead their lives with the intent to bestow love to everyone they came into contact with.
She laid a foundation based on southern values, respect for others, and the adherence to the ever living word of God. She desired nothing more than the best for her family, her friends and for strangers in need. Often going above and beyond for people that she had never been acquainted with. Upon meeting her for the first time, I’m positive that the individuals that she cared for, felt that her heart bled love, her mind focused on it and her actions demonstrated it.
On the morning of November 30th, Norma Maria Booth, mother to two children, sister to four siblings, daughter to a father, a pastor that introduced her to the light and love of God, a dependable friend to countless people. On this day, God called her soul home. She leaves behind a legacy of love, a legacy that can be felt and enjoyed by so many.
Her life was a gift to us all. It was a blessing just to know her and its an honor to be one of her sons. She is not gone, but she lives. She lives in Heaven, a land, a destination that she sought out daily, with a Lord that she celebrated at every second of her waking hours.
She will be greatly missed. But if you listen closely, feel deeply, if you knew her, I’m positive that you will feel the boundless love that she invested, delivered and gave freely, deep within the reservoirs of your hearts.
Her passing arrived abruptly. In light of that, there are dynamic expenses that will need to be covered to provide her with the burial she so rightfully deserves.
