Funeral services for Michael J. Verdon

Hi, my name is Kaitlin and I’m starting this gofundme on behalf of the Verdon family. On Tuesday February 7, 2023, Michael J. Verdon (Mike, Mikey the plow), 47, suddenly passed at his home leaving behind four beautiful children, Brieanna, John, James, and Lilliana, as well as his mother, Diane, and many other beloved family members and friends.

Mike was one generous, stubborn ass, kind, loving, crazy man. Mike loved his family more than anything and extended that love to everyone he met. He didn’t have much, but was ALWAYS so kind and as cheesy as it is, would literally give the shirt off his back to anyone who needed it. Mike just simply loved helping people and there’s so many that can say he’s helped them or has offered. He never failed to care for his mother Diane while going through chemotherapy and open heart surgery, ensuring she had transportation to all of her appointments and had his support through it all. Mike was a devoted employee at Hunter Mountain and loved his job. He also loved going to work everyday to see his snowmaking family and always classified them as his brothers. Mike always had a good time no matter what he was doing and never failed to make everyone around him laugh. His snowmaking family said it best, he was their own personal Chris Farley, and boy is that the truth. Mike also enjoyed playing guitar, riding ATV’s and snowmobiles, his food, and most of all spending time with his children.

The service for Michael J. Verdon will be held Saturday February 18th from 12pm-2pm at Moylan’s funeral home in Rosendale, NY. Following will be a celebration of life at the Tannersville fire house 5pm-7pm in Tannersville, NY.
