Funeral Services For JJ (Janice Johnson)

On Tuesday June 27th, Janice Grafton Johnson passed away. She was a mother, grandmother and a friend to many. Throughout her life Janice was a very strong, independent, and opinionated woman who touched many lives. She knew how to have fun with life, how to play, and she brought joy to others through her patented laugh.

As her grandson there is a lot I could say about my grandmother, she was a very special person to me and our entire family. It’s difficult for me to fully express my thoughts at this time, but I know that though she may be gone, she will live on through all of us.

I want to first thank everyone for their words of kindness and prayers at this time. As JJ’s grandson I have started a funeral fundraiser to help cover the cost of funeral expenses.

A service is To be announced at a later time as she was a lifetime member of the Santa Maria Eagles #1745, we will be organizing a celebration of life for family and friend's to pay their respects.

Unfortunately, due to the sudden nature of her passing our family was not prepared for the high cost of a funeral. During this difficult time we are reaching out to the community for help.

Any donations will be used to help me give my grandmother the services she has requested and deserves.

As I'm sure this is a hard and difficult time for everyone, I understand that many of us may not be able to help monetarily. We appreciate anything you can spare, even words of kindness and prayers for my family are welcome and can help us to heal during this difficult time.
