Funeral Services for Jake Watkins
Donation protected
Hello family and friends. With great sadness our family announces the untimely death of Elijah Jacob Watkins, beloved son, brother, father, grandfather and uncle.
This tragedy comes suddenly and a time where our family is completely unprepared. Jake had just begun a new positive journey in his life. He was pursuing his passion and love for cooking and had planned on furthering his education by attending culinary school. He was "paying his due" in the restaurant industry and had recently been promoted to line cook.
Unfortunately he had not had the chance to secure life insurance or set up benefits for him or his children. With his passing being so sudden, we are reaching out to family, friends, loved ones and associates in an attempt to ensure that our beloved son, brother, father, grandfather and uncle can properly laid to rest.
We take comfort in knowing that Jake was transitioned to be with his lord and savior as Jake accepted Christ into his life and was baptized.
Jake is survived by his parents, Debra Steward and Richard Watkins. His siblings Wana Rios, India Pryor, Angela Watkins and Richard Watkins Jr, his children Jhamecia "Jhaise" Watkins, Genesis Stanley, Moses Watkins, Brooklyn Scott, stepdaughter Khalia Scott, and grandchildren Mateo Stanley and Jasieon Easter.
Funeral services are being planned with Tracy Lewis, Owner/Director of Community Family Funeral Home.
All monies donated will go to funeral services for Jake. Anything leftover will be split amongst his children and grandchildren.
We appreciate your loving heart and ability to give during our difficult time. May God Bless and keep each and every one of you. Tell your loved ones they are loved.
