On November 21st, Isabel Velasquez was rushed to the ER after losing consciousness. Doctors quickly concluded that she suffered a hemorrhagic stroke in the posterior fossa of her brain. She was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center from Confluence Health in hopes of a fighting chance. She was surrounded and cared for by the best neuroscience team. Unfortunately, due to the gravity of the damage done by the bleed, she was not a candidate for decompressive craniectomy surgery. She was placed into a medically induced coma, and never regained consciousness. After brain activity testing on November 22nd, she displayed no signs of activity and was pronounced legally (brain) dead. She was kept on life support so that all of her family could give their final physical love. On the following day, the decision was made to let her body rest. On November 23rd, at 4:37 P.M, our Queen ascended to heaven.
As we all know, she was loved by many and will be truly missed by all. If anyone knew her, she was and will always continue being the life of every party. Isabel had many roles in life. She was a daughter, sister, tia, and above all she was a beloved mother. She cared endlessly for her children and family. She was a hardworking woman who dedicated 16 years to Confluence Health. She was a selfless, optimistic, kind hearted, fearless, one-of-a-kind person.
She leaves behind her seven children: Joe, Micheal, Suzanne, Daisy, Billy, Michelle, and Brittany Arciga, 15 grandchildren with a granddaughter on the way, and six sisters.
No one plans on losing a loved one and the last thing we need is for a beautiful suffering family to worry about finances. All donations will be specifically utilized in everything associated with her funeral, medical expenses, and bills.
We thank you in advance and implore that you keep this family in your heart and prayers.
