Funeral Services for Hoss Derran Tait

Donation protected
Tragedy struck the Tait family on Monday, September 19th. Hoss Derran Tait died suddenly while at work on Cedar Mountain. Hoss is a father, husband, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, coach and friend to so many.

Everyone that knows Hoss understood the strong love he had for his family. A single dad for many years, he raised Jayden and Justus to be hardworking and kind. When Hoss started dating Randi their love story started to be written. Not only did Hoss marry Randi but he took on a big extention to his family with her four children. Together Hoss & Randi raised their blended family in Fredonia and were very involved with their activities. Hoss had a special relationship with his Mom Lori, they have a great love between them. Hoss was the oldest in his family. The siblings have a strong bond, always being there for eachother in the good times and bad especially recently after their incredible father passed away. Hoss was raised with a big extended family- his uncles, aunts and lots of cousins were an important part of his upbringing. Memories were made with family camping, hunting, fishing, gathering wood on Kaibab and ranching. The Tait family is very very strong however they have experienced extreme loss and this sudden passing has left a huge hole in all their hearts.

Raised in Fredonia Hoss carried the Lynx spirit and coached high school and little league baseball. He also volunteered for many many years as an engineer with the Fredonia Fire Department. Hoss was always doing for others and volunteering in the community however after his son Jaydens death he had a great focus on suicide prevention and made himself available to talk and support those who were struggling.

Hoss was a friend to so many people. Whether you knew him from back in the day at Fredonia Elementary/High School, the Fredonia Fire Department, coaching or you worked with Hoss, he was a friend for life.

Hoss was a good man and we know that he was greeted in heaven by his son Jayden who he severely missed, father (Heav Tait), grandma Anna, grandpa Max and cousin Jerra along with other family members and friends who went before.

Hoss had recently changed jobs and the new job did not have a death benefit or life insurance. His wife Randi and extended family will need financial support to cover funeral expenses, lost wages and more.

If you are in a position to give please help the Tait family put Hoss to rest. Your prayers, kind words of condolence and financial support are greatly appreciated by the family.
