On behalf of the Jones family, It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that I share with you the untimely passing of their dear daughter, Angelica Brown. Angelica passed away on Sunday-May 7, 2023 at the age of 31 after a long battle with substance abuse; including depression, addiction and mental illness. Like so many during this time, the family is devastated.
Angelica was in the food industry for most of her life, she enjoyed cooking and feeding people. Angelica was a sweet, kind and loving person. Most importantly, Angelica was a Mother, to Ariyah age 3. Ariyah will be raised by Angelica’s mother, Alicia.
The past few days have been a whirlwind for the family, they are so grateful for the outpouring of love and support from everyone; The Springs Church, Aaron and Burney Bivens Funeral Home, Friends and from the community have been overwhelming. The family asked that I pass along much gratitude.
As you can likely imagine, the family was not prepared for this emotionally or financially. They would love nothing more than to give Angelica a modest but proper funeral service.
To make this possible I have established a way to donate toward the funeral services of Angelica. Every donation will get this family closer to putting Angelica to rest peacefully. Below is a link to the donation page. The goal is $6,140.00 - donate early the deadline for donations is Monday, May 15, 2023. Any amount above and beyond this will be put into an established bank account for her daughter, Ariyah.
The truth is, we all know someone whose life is vulnerable to addiction. The Jones family chooses to tell their daughter's story publicly, in grief, but without shame, hoping that a true recounting of these personal demons might help others find a different path. In doing so the family would like to honor Angelica’s memory by making sure that other families understand how much her life meant. The truth is, many people are struggling daily to survive.
The funeral services will be held at The Springs Church | 900 Park Avenue | OP, FL 32073 | Tuesday - May 16, 2023, @ 3:30 pm. Please plan to attend this public memorial service of a much-loved young adult whose family hopes their life story can make a difference for others.
Thank you for your attention and for any help you can offer. May God bless you today and always.
Gratefully,
Jenny Aguaveva-Cornett
Coming together with friends, family, the community, and strangers to honor your loved one is incredibly special. I am honored to know Angie and the Jones family.
Romans 5:3-5 And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; and perseverance, character; and character, hope. Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.
