I am fundraising for my father, Bob Sweet, who is on a limited pension ( CPP and old age security ) and has had to deal with the unexpected passing of his loving and dear wife, our mom, Mary Sweet. The $1000 insurance policy that he had purchased years ago was more than enough to cover costs back then but is not near enough to cover costs today. With the cost being 10 times that of which the insurance will cover there is uncertainty in how he will be able to move forward. Unfortunately the rest of the immediate family cannot take on the extra debt but will be helping out when they can. He will probably need to take back the car in which Mom's pension was paying half for and with winter around the corner and expenses getting higher we are all uncertain how the burden of dad being able to afford the funeral cost will affect his ability to move forward. Any amount that can be collected no matter how small would be greatly appreciated by my father. Mom was a special person who was always on the go and was committed to her family and the community where she lived. She was a big part in my father's life as she helped take care of him since he lost his leg years ago. I wish I didn't have to ask for help but I am reaching out to anyone that can pitch in to help with this unexpected expense. I deeply thank all those that are able to contribute in any way to help my dad get through this uncertain time.
