Funeral Service for Debbie Anderson
Donation protected
Hey, everyone. My name is Junot Lee, I'm a volunteer mentor for youth who face at-risk situations. One of my mentees Rod Smith unexpectedly lost his mother Debbie. Her kidneys failed, and she passed away in the hospital the very next day. She is survived by her two children.
In this devastating season, we're asking if you could kindly help Rod and his family with the funeral service and cremation costs. 100% of this crowdfunding endeavor will go towards these expenses.
I met Rod over a year ago, when he was going through a challenging stretch and struggling to find answers. What inspires me about him is his thoughtfulness, his tenacity, his creativity, and his heart. He was facing homelessness, and by the grace of God and the help of various youth organizations, he went through the youth shelter system, while he found full time work. His journey to today is nothing short of miraculous. He lives on his own, where he provided housing and groceries to take care of his mother, and he works full-time as a security guard at a Smart & Final. He's the kind of guy who goes out of his way to protect and help people - it's in his nature. He's a poet, who can quote Langston Hughes and August Wilson on a dime. And a good man who's just trying to find redemption and work hard to provide a good life for his family.
We thank you for your generosity, anything helps.
