Pradeep Thapa, a former student at Bridgeport University in Connecticut, passed away on 09/21/2022. He came to the US in 2016 and went through hard times; had depression and spent over a year in the hospital during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The cause of death is pending, and hospital informed that it would take about 6-7 weeks to determine the cause. Pradeep was the only son of the Thapa family, and his parents wanted to see him for one last time.

His dead body is in Connecticut. It needs to be sent to his Parent’s living in Nepal. His family is unable to provide financial assistance to the funeral and also has limited means to cover these costs. We are trying to arrange funds to transfer his dead body to Nepal and we are estimating around $10,000 for embalming the body, completing paperwork, transporting via airlines and funeral service in Nepal. We would like to assure you all that we will be posting a detailed funding and expense report at the end as a transparency purpose.

We request the everyone of you, entire Nepalese community to contribute what you can so that Pradeep’s family can see him for the last time. Please share this post as much as you can.
