Our beloved grandfather, husband, friend Jorge Carlos Benitez passed in the morning of August 5th. Jorge was a great figure in all of our lives and set a great example for us to follow. 

Jorge dedicated his life to showing us the right path and pushed us to make the right choices. He would always be there with a helping hand when we needed someone. 

We are all saddened by his loss and had a great ceremony for him this evening, August 7th. 

On August 6th while prepping for his memorial money was taken from my grandmothers apartment building containing thousands of dollars in cash. Out of respect for Jorge we all chipped in and gathered money again to assist our grandmother with the expenses.

This money was left by him for us to use for his memorial and for our grandmother. I am currently asking for any assistance to help recover some of the money that was stolen. The funds will go directly to his wife.

The memorial was held by Foster Funeral Services.
