Funeral of Barry Jackson
Donation protected
Dear friends and family,
As you are probably already aware, we lost Barry on 30th January 2021, he had been undergoing chemotherapy for a 2nd time after initially recovering from bowel cancer but sadly his health took a rapid decline in the New Year.
We are absolutely devastated by the loss of a great man and have had many messages about flowers and donations. Anyone who knew Barry would know that he wasn't one for flowers and in his words would probably have said "What a waste of money!".
We have setup this go fund me page for anyone that would like to make a donation in his memory. 100% of the money will go to local clubs and charities which we know Barry would have appreciated.
The funeral service will be held at Rotherham Crematorium on Friday 19th February at 12:00. I hope you can understand that due to covid restrictions we are only allowed 30 people at the funeral which has been kept to close family and friends.
We would kindly ask you to adhere to this but also know that many of you will want to pay your respects as he became friends when many people over the years, whether it was through playing cricket, watching the horses, quizzing or just having a beer.
The crematorium will be providing a stream of the service which can be accessed on the day. If you would like the link, please get in touch with Scott, Janine or Jane and they can send you the details. Please refrain from sharing the link to the service on social media but do pass it on to family and friends who may not see this message.
Please consider donating if you are able to do so. We are so very grateful for every donation during this difficult time and we will be arranging a memorial once we are able to do so that everyone can attend in the way that Barry would have wanted - with a beer or 12 and a bit of Neil Diamond!
We have also set up a memorial page where you can leave any messages, photos or memories of Barry here https://barryjackson.muchloved.com/
Stay safe and lots of love.
Scott, Janine, Jane, Lyndsey and all the family.
