Bryan Joseph Ditty “BJ”Age 48
On the morning of May 25th 2017, our beloved father, husband, brother, son, friend and “noctor” passed away peacefully in sleep.
Bryan met his sweetheart Rebecca Harris Ditty at Ricks College in 1987, served in the LDS Toronto, Canada Mission, and married Becky, the love of his life, in the Seattle, WA Temple. BJ is survived by Becky and their children: Kaitlyn, Riley, Molly, Jack and Joseph. BJ was an outdoorsman, avid camper, hiker and a fly fishing nut. He never met a stranger and always had room for one more around the campfire. He gave his family a love of nature, and taught his siblings to “respect their elders.”
Bryan’s incredible compassion for others led him to practice medicine. He received his Masters from UofU as a Physician’s Assistant and took his talents to Tooele, Utah as a P.A. He is beloved and revered by his patients, their families and his colleagues for his kind and loving care and his goofy sense of humor.
He was a rabid Utes fans, a lifelong Seattle Seahawks 12th man, and proud to be Irish. But his true happiness was when he was surrounded by his family in a camp somewhere high in the mountains.
As an Eagle Scout, Bryan was always prepared. With just an ironing board for a stretcher, a basic first aid kit and his talent and love, there wasn’t an emergency he turned his back on – at the top of a mountain, a playground or in the ER.
He is also survived by his loving parents, T. Bryan and Sharon Kay Ditty, 19 siblings, numerus nieces , nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and best friends.
Rest easy big Brother. We love you dearly. Leave some fish for the rest of us, until we meet again.
