Funeral & Memorial William Robertson Ascension

Greetings,

I’m Hiawatha Collins Founder Director of the Peer Network of New York & Vocal NY board member. On behalf of Jerom Robertson, William Robertson’s Brother I am putting together this Go Fund Me. William Robertson has ascended to be with the ancestors unexpectedly and this has left his brother in financial distress.

A harm reduction warrior as ascended to the ancestors. He will be welcomed by those that went on before him and he will be awaiting us when it is our time.

William Robertson was a member of many organizations and he inspired many while on his journey. The Peer Network of New York where he learned to believe in himself both personally and professionally. He gave of himself and his knowledge of harm reduction freely. He provided community members with various resources while treating them with dignity and respect and simultaneously building a rapport with community members so that they would want to converse with and looked forward to seeing him. This carried over to the Acacia network’s Opioid Collective where he touched so many and his former employer Harlem United. VOCAL - NY where he advocated furiously on many campaigns and issues that impacted him and his community. You could see William on the steps of City Hall or in Albany advocating furiously for the community that have been labeled as marginalized underserved Etc. He was also apart of a few projects with Columbia University where he brought his whole self and was respected by many. He was a part of several boards and committees throughout NYC and State. He was a loving Son, Brother, Uncle and Friend to many.

William Robertson did so much for so many and he ascended to the ancestors without insurance of any kind. He is now in need of the communities assistance to ensure that he is taken care of as he has taken care of others.

We want to assist his brother by taking away the financial burden as this was unexpected and sudden. William ascended on Saturday August 26, 2023 and the family is up against the clock. Williams Brother Jarom has to make arrangement and everything in a short period of time.

We will let everyone know the date and time of services when arrangements are made.
