Since the pandemic began, our family has suffered immense loss. Losing Abram, Sr in March 2021, our beloved child Jaedyn in October 2021, our matriarch Mrs. Mary Middleton Emerson this past December and now the revered John Kirby Allen in a hard-fought bout with lung cancer. Our family is close and all of these have hit us hard in numerous ways.

This message is about Johnny, who has dedicated his life to being a voice for the voiceless. His life's work has been at the behest of others. He had a tremendously big heart and the only thing bigger than that was the fire burning within it. His work on numerous political campaigns and neighborhood organizing projects left an indelible mark on the cities of San Antonio, Chicago, Philadelphia, DC, and Atlanta which have enriched the lives of countless citizens to which he humbly took a backseat to notoriety. Johnny has always been a colorful and integral part of our family as he was heavily-focused on loving and caring for his family and friends.

With this memorial page we as a family come with our hearts in our hands to humbly ask if you are able, in ANY capacity, to aid us in helping financially in sending Johnny home in the dignified way he deserves. Our family has a base value of gratitude that permeates each and every one of us. Each and every cent will be afforded to his celebration of life and his memory.
