Funeral Help for Buddy’s Final Farewell
Donation protected
UPDATE:
The funeral has been paid for, but we could still use help with funds for the cemetery (opening and closing of the plot) and also help with getting my brother a headstone. The GoFundMe will stay active until we are able to purchase a headstone so any donation and sharing is very much appreciated. Thank you to everyone who has donated their funds, time, and effort into helping my family but we are still a long ways away from putting him to rest. Any help is appreciated for my little bother. Forever 27, gone but never forgotten. ❤️
Kristopher Allen Davis, 27, my beloved bother, suddenly passed away on June 4th, 2025.
Kristopher, also known as Buddy to most, had his life taken away from him way too soon. Buddy has been sick for quite some time but the family was always told that there was hope for recovery until the morning of his passing. We noticed buddy not acting like himself, not eating, barely drinking, so we rushed him to UPMC Harrisburg. The doctors at Harrisburg told us that his lungs had an infection that ended up spread throughout his body, and that his liver was being severely effected, and that the only option was to fly him to UPMC Pittsburg for a transplant and to treat the infection. Once at UPMC Pittsburg, which is 5 hours away from home, Buddys organs began shutting down one by one despite the doctors best efforts to do literally everything in their power that they could. Liver, then lungs, then kidneys, and his heart was next to go. The doctors told us to gather up the immediate family and make the trip down because things weren’t looking good. The doctors pulled us all into a room and told us “Buddys body has made the decision that the fight is coming to an end, it’s just a matter of you, as a family, deciding on how you want to handle this.”
Buddy was suffering, uncomfortable, and we know he was not happy being in the situation he was in. Us as a family decided to opt in for end of life care instead of prolonging his life that was going to come to an end anyways. We were told it could take a couple days in his condition after the tube was removed and his medications were switched but unfortunately those days turned into only minutes. Buddy took his last breath only 30 minutes after starting the comfort care process when we were told a couple days.
Buddy is my only brother and my mother’s only son. Buddy is survived by his only nephew, Konner, who is absolutely devastated by the loss. It was not his time to go, but God has plans for all of us and this was just his for my brother. & with the loss being so unexpected we are in need of assistance to help bury him. My mother would like to have a full funeral service with burial so the whole family has a chance to pay their respects and give their final goodbyes since the timing of everything was unexpected and we thought we had more time than what we were given. Anything helps. A service date has not been selected yet pending the availability of funeral homes that are able to transport Buddy from Pittsburg back home to Dauphin County but the family and friends will be updated as plans are made.
