We ask for your support to cover funeral cost for our beloved family member who passed away suddenly at the age of 25.
Alex Sanchez, as most of you know him has suffered from a heart condition since a young age. Alex was diagnosed with Long QT Syndrome at the age of 14, after his first accident while at school. His heart condition caused him to collapse multiple times while at school. During his first hospitalization he had a pacemaker put in place to help monitor his heart. Alex was a member of the Borrego Springs Unified School District since the second grade. He graduated with the class of 2013, although he did not have the opportunity to walk with his class. Alex had a passion for music, he could play many instruments, some of his favorites were the flute, guitar, bass, drums. He could play just about any instrument you name it.
Soon after graduation Alex started his own family. By the time of his passing he was a father to four wonderful children, 2 sons 2 daughters. Though Alex did not go to college he continued to pursue his passion for music. That is where he felt comfort. Alex begun producing his music and became known as King Tut. Although his passion was music, Alex was an agricultural worker which means he traveled for work based on the seasons.
Alex was a family man, he had his mom, dad, two sisters and grandmother all who supported his musical dreams. As his cousin I can say that Alex loved his family with every ounce he had. Alex would always hug grandma goodbye and tell her not to worry about getting old because he would take care of her even if it meant changing her diapers. Growing up Alex overcame many obstacles one of which included: learning English as a second language.
Alex’s passing was sudden and tragic for all of us. He passed the morning of April 4th in Corona. This happened soon after waking up and preparing his lunch for another day as an agricultural worker picking grapefruits. Alex had been working several days with his dad by his side. Unfortunately his passing was before they left for their work day.
Alex’s pacemaker failed, paramedics tried to revive him but were not successful. Alex leaves behind his four kids and family.
We thank you for taking the time to read about Alex and our need for help.
We understand we are all experiencing financial hardships but anything will help my family.
