Hi everyone,
Kasie Malcolm, a UMaine Chemical Engineering student, passed away in a gas leak during his internship at Baileyville Paper Mill in Northern Maine. Kasie wasn’t just a student; he was a son, friend, role model, and much more. He was an all-state swimmer, a great snowboarder, and an avid hiker. Kasie was one of the most honest, intelligent, loving, and caring people I have ever met. He always had a smile on his face, even when he didn’t want to do things. He had conquered so many things in his life and always pushed to do his best in everything he did.
Kasie’s family is heartbroken, and they may not be able to afford a funeral for him, as he was raised by his grandmother Paula Malcolm, who is unable to work, so we are raising money on his behalf and are hoping, with your help, to cover the full expense.
Please keep his family in your prayers at this difficult time.
