Funeral funds for the Akot family

On August 15th 2020 Akot (Isaiah) Akot tragically passed away in a house fire in North Fitzroy. Akot was a beautiful, cheeky three year old and he will be sorely missed by his family, his community and all those who had the opportunity to meet him.
We want to support the Akot family by using this Go Fund me to raise money for all funeral costs. COVID-19 has had a devastating impact on the capacity for communities to grieve the losses of loved ones. We want to ensure that as much of the financial burden is taken care of so that the Akot family can focus on supporting one another through this incredibly hard time.
The money will be deposited into the bank account of Akot's auntie, Ayel who will be in charge of all funds that have been donated. We have requested permission from the family for this fundraiser and they are greatly appreciative of any financial support that can be given. We anticipate any money raised will go towards all general funeral costs and if we are able to raise some more, this will go to supporting the family during this period of stage 4 lockdown in Melbourne.
