Just a few days ago we lost one of our own.  Our cousin, son, brother, father, and, grandfather Michael passed away. 

Our family now has a significant void that will require a great deal of time to heal.  We now have to struggle with all the emotions that come with losing someone that has played a significant role in our lives. 

Like any human Mike had his faults, but his inherent goodness always shined through his quiet exterior.  He could be funny when the situation warranted humor and unbelievably loving and accepting when you were at your lowest.  Judgement was never in his lexicon.  Very few people can be as genuine as he was. 

Losing him is unbelievably painful.  Such a sad day.  Only one thing seems to give us any solace...the fact that we had the pleasure of growing up with him and we will always make sure to keep him alive in my our hearts.
