My best friend, the love of my life, my husband, Philip John Lombardo died unexpectedly Monday, May 24, 2021 at Hartford Hospital. Our children, Barbara, Peter, Ian and Elizabeth have been left without a father, and we have been left without a provider. He worked for decades in the Emergency Medical Services field and spent his whole life giving so much of himself to his work and helping everyone he met. He worked two and three jobs, so hard he often forgot to help himself, to provide for himself, to make plans for himself.
All the funds generated from this page will be used to cover extremely high funeral costs, final medical expenses, legal costs for the estate, and bridging the gap his sudden and tragic death has left in our short term finances. We have until the end of June before the greatest of these expenses become due upon receipt.
While Phil wasn't wealthy in the eyes of the world, he had a loving, caring, generous heart; spending all of himself giving back to his community all his life. So many of our friends have asked "what can I do to help?" We will be eternally grateful for your kind and generous help here at this most difficult time.
