On April 20th, 2020, at approximately 7:04pm, Norn Ngim passed away at St Joseph’s Intensive Care Unit in Hamilton. She will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend. Norn had a long, tragic medical history but that did not stop her from enjoying life. Her spirit and optimism will be passed down to her three children, her husband, and anyone who was touched by her infectious smile. She was a passionate singer for the Cambodian Alliance Church and her favorite activity was fishing with family and friends. Her contagious laugh and innocent mind truly set an example for others to not dwell in the past but to live in the present. Though she did not have any formal profession, Norn was a highly devoted housewife. She also may have not been very educated (because she was forced to flee from the Cambodian Genocide), but she has taught us many invaluable lessons due to her boundless wisdom. God has been, and will always be, a huge part of her life and she is now in His kingdom where she belongs.
