Support Firefighter Xavier's Fight Against Lymphoma

Mesa Firefighter, Xavier Lagarda and his family, need your help during a difficult time battling Hodgkin’s lymphoma.

From Xavier:

“I have been very reluctant to ask for help, but if there is one place you find all kinds of help, it is in this brotherhood. In November, I found some swollen lymph nodes that were mistakingly diagnosed as an infection. By December, I was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma. I’ve been through the bone marrow biopsy and have been diagnosed stage 2.

Due to presumptive legislation and my time on the job, I am not covered by worker’s compensation and could use any help for my daughter and I while I’m on no-work status and going through treatments. Best case scenario, I’m expected to go through at the least 2 months of treatment, if not longer. I feel extremely lucky and blessed to be a part of this career and I look forward to being back on a truck. Thank you for your consideration in helping me through this time.”
