Funeral Fund for Charles Shipman’s Family

Hello all,

We are heartbroken to share that our beloved Charles Shipman has passed away after a short and aggressive battle with cancer on Wednesday, May 14. As we begin to navigate this unimaginable and sudden loss, we are reaching out to our community for support in giving him the proper and dignified farewell he deserves.

The cost of funeral arrangements, services, and burial is overwhelming, and we are hoping to raise $15,000 to help cover these expenses. Every donation — no matter the amount — will go directly toward funeral costs.

Funeral Costs Breakdown

The funds raised will go directly toward covering my uncle’s funeral expenses, which include:

• Transportation of his body from Sacramento to Fresno, so he can be laid to rest near loved ones.

• Purchasing a burial plot, including a double-depth (double decker) space, so his wife—my aunt—can one day be buried with him.

• The cost of the casket and other necessary funeral items.

• The opening and closing fee charged by the cemetery for preparing the grave.
