Our dear brother Hassan (Johnnie Joyner) returned to his Creator yesterday at Yale New Haven Hospital.

We are now arranging for his Islamic burial, and Masjid An-Noor is organizing this GoFundMe to help cover the funeral and burial expenses.

The Prophet ﷺ said:

“Whoever relieves a believer’s distress of the distressful aspects of this world, Allah will rescue him from a difficulty of the Hereafter.”

(Sahih Muslim)

We ask our community to come together to help give our brother a dignified Islamic burial. Every contribution—no matter the amount—will go directly toward these expenses.
