Funeral fundraiser, unexpected death, Damon Laizer

It’s with a broken, heavy heart I write to ask you to fundraise donations to help my best friend bury her oldest son Damon Laizer, 28, father of one son and who unexpectedly passed on December 21st on this Holiday week. No Mother or parent should suffer this loss now worrying about how to bury their child, let alone over the Christmas holidays. The grieving alone for this unexpected, devastating loss is unbearable for Cindy, her family and his friends.

Damon had no life insurance to pay funeral or hospital expenses and his Mother Cindy Dowen does not have any means to afford this expense.

This Go Fund Me fundraiser is to go directly to Cindy to lessen the financial worries and allow her, her family grieve not worrying about how to pay these expenses. Cindy adored her son and his infectious smile, we’ll all miss that laughter and smile.

Damon will be waked NEXT week in Milford at Buma after a hold by the funeral home to avoid proceedings over Christmas.

This began on December 16th while Cindy and Miranda were out and then returned home and found him unresponsive and ambulance services transported him to Umass, where things did not look good. With his family Cindy, Miranda, and Michael by his side after learning Damon had been without oxygen too long, he passed peacefully on December 21st. This young man with a full life of experiences still to enjoy but it all ended on 12/21 as Damon was taken too soon. Damon was a Father of one Son, Son, brother, grandson, uncle, cousin, nephew, best friend, friend, acquaintance of soooo many has left us broken hearted and devastated to figure out how to go one with only our memories. Pray for both Cindy and Miranda who are struggling so much after finding him at home, we pray for them and everyone daily. We know Damon was greeted by his father Michael Laizer in heaven and countless others who went before us - some before their time.
