On Saturday Morning, October 8th, 2022, my beautiful mother, Diane Funk, passed away from stage 4 breast cancer. She underwent this battle for 8 long years and fought every second of the way. In her 60 years of life, she made an impact on so many different people and spread her kindness wherever she went. She worked for 27 years at a state attorney’s office and raised me here, in Sarasota, FL as an only child. My mom would have loved to be have been buried in West Virginia next to her mother and father, but as you can imagine, things like this are very costly. All donations will be put toward the transport, burial, ceremony of life, and even the few thousand it costs just for a marker/headstone. Anything helps, and this would mean more to my mom and I than anyone could ever imagine.
