Despite following medical advice and resting, a blood clot formed and led to a devastating stroke and pulmonary embolism. Emergency responders were able to revive her briefly, but she remained unconscious in the hospital until late that night—on what was her wedding anniversary.

Leona was a devoted wife, a loving mother, and a radiant presence in her community. Her passing has left her husband Chris and their 15-year-old son in deep grief. While friends and family are offering support, the emotional and financial weight is heavy.

This fundraiser is to help Chris and their son navigate the difficult road ahead. Funds will be used to cover the funeral and memorial service scheduled for October 27th, as well as to provide stability for their son and allow the family time and space to grieve without the added pressure of financial strain.
