Funeral for Lucas: father, partner, son, brother

I am sad to announce that after a 2 year battle with medical issues, my brother has very suddenly passed away. He had a busy day after thanksgiving, pulling his son on the sled, playing pool with friends and shopping for wedding rings, he had already booked his flight/hotel for Vegas where he and his fiancé were to be married in February 2022. He fell asleep that night in his bed at home, he did not wake up.

Lucas had been battling complications due to Diverticulitis for the past 2 years. His intestines ruptured to the point that he was put in a medically induced coma for a month. During this time they had tried to bring him out of it 3 times, his heart had continued to fail, he technically died 3 times during that month. He managed to pull through and continue the fight to live. He suffered through over a year of having a colostomy bag, severe hernia and extreme pain. He also suffered from anxiety and depression. Lucas was a fighter though and never gave up. He still took his family out and tried to enjoy life the best he could. His fiancé Kim and their 5 year old son Matthew were the most important people to him. He was an excellent Dad, incredible son to Kerri and the best brother to Jessica. Family was so important to him, though he had struggled with his relationship with his father Ward, he was looking forward to his Vegas wedding as Ward was finally retiring and would then be living there. They would finally have a chance to repair their relationship. Lucas had big plans to change the world. He had been speaking with companies about new clean energy avenues, he had been applying for loans to kick start a business. He had just one surgery left to be put back together, a minor hernia repair. He was almost to the end. Please help us in taking care of Lucas’ funeral costs as well as setting his fiancé and son up for their new future without him. They need our help, Lucas needs us to care for them because he no longer can. His service will be on December 15th. Mahalo to all!
