My son Louis Micheal was killed in a work accident Wednesday morning march 15th 2017. Right now I am his only sorce of help and I need help to bury my son and lay him to rest. Here is the news article on the accident. As a father I can't imagine living my life without him.
The Petrolia Volunteer Fire Department and other area first responders were on the scene of an accident Wednesday morning, after part of a home's foundation collapsed and killed a man.
36-year-old Louis Michael Bounds lost his life in the accident.
Clay County Sheriff Kenny Lemons says the foundation repair crew was with Mendoza House Leveling and Repair, that is based out of Wichita Falls.
Lemons says fellow crew members tried to rescue the trapped man, but they were unable to free him.
According to the supervisor Bounds, who was on his first day back on the job, was leveling a concrete porch on the home.
Crews were digging under the porch and leveling it when part of the old foundation collapsed trapping him.
The supervisor for the leveling company says Bounds was also struck on the back of the neck with a piece of concrete.
He says the incident happened so fast and is devastating to the entire team.
Clay County Sheriff Kenny Lemons says the call came from workers on the scene, but it took another 30-40 minutes to get Bounds out from under the foundation.
"It's a very tragic accident at this point, my heart goes out to his family. We're really going to work hard to find out who he is and try to locate them as quickly as possible," Lemons said.
