My family and I are raising money for a service and the cremation of my wonderful grandmother.
She meant so much to so many people. Her cooking was by far the best and she brought people together when there were any conflicts between members of the family. Even her food brought us all together. She worked her whole life until she was too sick to do so. Hard laborious farm work. She had a green thumb and could plant anything anywhere. And the fruits she bore were delicious.
My grandmother is the type of person I've always strived to become. Strong, intelligent, wasn't scared to speak her mind, compassionate, kind, caring, hardworking until she could no longer, so much more. She was so much more. She always taught me to be the better person and to always give what I can if I can. I've taken away so many life lessons from this woman and have applied so many of themto my life.

History:
Recently she was admitted to the hospital and 3 days later she was happy ready to leave and was fine having home hospice care. We were excited to have her back home. The day came to and when she was brought home she was not the happy excited to be home person we thought would be arriving.

She was not speaking. Just here with us. We did not get any of her kind last words but, I could feel them, I know I could. The hospice nurse said she may not make it through the night and that she sees it a lot. Where the person is fine in the hospital and ready to go home. But once they are here they decline. She says that it is more than likely they just want to go peacefully at home and not is some hospital room.
She held on to hear family members in Hawaii and elsewhere speak to her. I brought her great grand children over to hang out and play so she could hear them laughing and causing trouble for the day. Not even an hour after we had left and got home she took her final breath. I don't think she wanted my children to see her go. Also, I'm sad I wasn't there when she left us. But I do understand.
This is heart breaking and so unexpected. I ask you funders if you are able to, please donate as to help my family to get my grandmother in a nice resting space. And I thank you all so much for taking the time to read through this.
