Jose Rodriguez

As most of you know during this tragic time Jose Rodriguez 39 years old passed away on Wednesday December 15th, 2021. He lost his battle to overcome Covid 19. He was the fiancé of Michelle Santos of 11 years. Within his 39 years he suffered the loss of both his parents, his father Jose (Che) and his Mother Iris. Jose has considered Angel Ortiz as his father-in-law and Hilda santos his mother-in-law and looked to them as parent figures. Jose was the father to four children Jose Jr, Eliz, Iris and Lizmarie. He was the grandfather to four children & the brother to Susie Rodriguez. Jose also had many friends and extended family. He was family oriented, a protector of his family, strong and a warrior. If you needed a shirt, he would take it off his back and give it to you. During his life he’s overcome many battles and made many sacrifices to better himself. He was determined to get his CDL and was very ambitious. He will always be remembered for his kindness, laughter and the goofy moments that we shared at the dinner table. He had such a joking spirit; he would always tease his sister Suzie " Not to burn the bacon! ". He took joy in cooking for his sister-in-law’s Ruby, Xiomara and Desirae and his brother-in-law Robert. As much as the foodie he was, he was also very active. In his spare time, he enjoyed gaming, fishing, watching sports, boxing and was a True Yankees fan. He loved spending time with his kids and family, that was the joy of his heart. It was those moments that he enjoyed the most. His future goals were to move to Florida with his fiancé Michelle to be closer to family. It has been very difficult for all of us to grieve in this moment, but we all want to make him proud and meet the wishes that he would have wanted. So today we are asking for any support with appreciation and contributions to help relieve the financial stress this has caused on the family and Michelle. Service will be followed by cremation as he requested. This is a very devastating for my sister as Jose was the sole provider for Michelle. As we go on, his memory will continue to live within each of us and anyone that knew this Warrior. He touched everyone’s heart and we hope his story will touch yours. Jose will live in our hearts forever, until we meet again.
