Funeral for Jose F. Romero

My father, Jose F. Romero, MSgt USMC Retired,  passed away at home on September 18, 2018.  He was on the waiting list for a kidney and had the beginning stages of Parkinson's as well as many other medical issues related to Agent Orange from his time in Vietnam.  He had been very ill the past year and spent several months in ICU and assisted care with many other multiple hospital stays.  He lived on a monthly VA Disability payment and SSA payment that covered his expenses with little left over.   When he died on Tuesday, there were no funds in his account to pay for his funeral and he had no life insurance to cover any other expenses. His new wife is unwilling to pay for his funeral and as his oldest son I have taken on the task of getting him a proper burial.  I am raising funds to cover a basic funeral with a coffin, hearse, and  funeral home expenses to get him a church service and to take him to his final resting place at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery where he will get a full USMC honor guard funeral that he earned serving our country.   

He served several tours in the Vietnam War and Southwest Asia during Desert Shield/Desert Storm and was awarded;  USMC Achievement Medal w/Gold "V",  Purple Heart w/Gold Star, USMC Reserve w/2 Bronze Stars,  Good Conduct Medal, Armed Force Reserve, National Defense Medal w/1 Bronze Star,  Armed Force Expeditionary, Southwest Asia Service, Vietnam Service w/2 Stars Bronze, Vietnam Campaign, Vietnam Cross of Gallantry, w/Palm, Liberation Kuwait Saudi Arabian, Liberation Kuwait, USMC Expeditionary, Combat Action Ribbon, Presidential Unit Citation, Navy/Marine Unit Commendation, and Navy Meritorious Unit.   

I do not usually ask for help but this is something that is beyond my control right now and I am asking for any and all help I can get to pay for a funeral for my father.  At this time this is my only option in order to get him buried by "Friday, September 28, 2018".  I will be greatly indebted to each of you that can help me with this funeral to get this United States Marine to his final resting place.  

I need to raise the money by Thursday, September 27, 2018 to pay the funeral home on Friday morning of the 28th.
