Funeral for Johnny Ray Jones

Our beloved Johnny recently passed on August 21st, he was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle. 

His goal was to get a new knee replacement and he finally did, and he was excited to work towards getting better. He wanted to travel and get a new motor home. He wanted to take his family on a camping trip once he got better. All he wanted was to get better and be able to walk better. 

We loved him dearly and this happened extremely unexpectedly. He went in for surgery on August 19th, and stayed overnight, coming home the next afternoon on August 20th. That night, his stitches tore and he bled a lot, but we were able to stop the bleeding until his doctors appointment the next morning. At the doctors office, the nurse took his blood pressure and it was very low, but they sent him home still. He came home and sat on his porch, which was his favorite thing to do. Later in the day he kept falling asleep. I woke him up a few times, at which one time he said I reminded him of his mother, and he gave me a big hug and said that he was okay. I left him alone for about 40 minutes, before going to check on him again, because I thought he just needed his sleep. Then, when I checked on him next, he wasn't breathing. We tried to revive him, but it was too late.

We are devastated by Johnny's passing and we're not prepared for the high cost of funeral services. He always told us that he wanted to live until he was 100. We want to give Johnny the memorial he deserves, to honor his memory and say our last goodbyes.

He loved Selena and me, and the rest of his family so much. It's the hardest thing that we've had to go through. But we know that he will always be here to help us through it. 

I am currently asking donations to help cover the expenses of the funeral services. Because of the circumstances, we were not prepared.
