"After fighting a severe neurological illness these past few years, I am heartbroken to announce that my beloved husband (and father, grandfather, friend, musician extraordinaire, and much more) left this beautiful earth on July 29, 2021. 

Words cannot express the pain and anguish our family is experiencing at this time of grief. However, just by the sheer man he was in addition to the overwhelming amount of love pouring in from around the world, we know that he left a profound impact on the countless lives he touched. That said, we were less than prepared for such a day to come, thus are coming to you all for help regarding his Homegoing.

While we settled our roots in New York for the past twenty years, Joey wanted nothing more than to return to Charleston and share his burial alongside his parents. This requires transportation, venue rental, funeral expenses and other accommodations. So any and all donations you can help with would be immensely appreciated.
