Funeral for Jeremy Handrinos
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Kristie Handrinos, and I'm looking to raise some funds for the service of my cousin Jeremy, who recently passed suddenly this past Friday 7/8, at 34 years of age. Jer was admitted to the hospital on Tuesday 7/5 presenting with pancreatitis, decreased liver function, & acute renal failure. This prompted hospital staff to prepare him for dialysis. As they did so, Jeremy became unstable. His blood pressure dropped, & his organs began shutting down, so they had to opt for emergency surgery in order to stop what was internal bleeding of his GI tract. In the end, despite the medical professionals' best efforts, Jeremy would succumb to his injuries and pass away. Thankfully, he had his mother, father, and two of his brothers beside him in his last moments on this earth.
Our family has always been close as can be, so this loss has been felt viscerally throughout. Even now, as I type this, I feel the pangs of his passing come over me in waves. My aunt & uncle (Jeremy's surviving parents) are attempting to organize the service as I type, though they're feeling overwhelmed by the loss of their son, in addition to finding the funds to pay for it all. For this reason, I'm reaching out to anybody who will listen and find it in their heart to help our family through these terrible times. We appreciate any and every donation and if by some miracle exceed our goal, we will donate the overflow to fund a second memorial service that will be held on Cape August 6th.
Here's a breakdown of the current costs~
Cremation: $3,500
Memorial service: $1,300+
6 Magnified photos: $690
Other miscellaneous costs: $1,700
Food & Drink for 100+ attendees: To be determined
The service will be held on Saturday, July 23rd at 2pm at the New Life Assembly of God church in Venice, FL 34293.
We really appreciate all of you who have taken their time to read this & help my family through the ordeal. It's never easy to ask for help, but I know it's these challenging periods in life in which people truly show the heart of what it means to be a human being.
Thank you all so much,
Kristie
