Funeral expenses for Burr Cook
Donation protected
It is with an extremely heavy heart that I share the passing of our dear friend, husband and colleague, Burr Cook. Burr dedicated his life to helping others. Whether it be through his early days in nursing, or his passion of working with individuals and families impacted by substance abuse. Burr was as generous with his time as he was with his wisdom and expertise. For years, Burr has facilitated a free family workshop in Costa Mesa for families who have a loved one struggling with substance abuse. Over the years, Burr has helped hundreds, if not thousands of families through his Intervention services and the ripple effect of those he has impacted is immeasurable. The first thing Burr always said to me was, “What can I do for YOU Heather?”. He dedicated his life to service, whether it was his friends, colleagues or the community as a whole. Burr loved to Fish, Surf, be outside and spend time with his dogs and his beloved wife Christina. Burr had the best sense of humor. He could always make an unbearable situation just a little more bearable with his quick wit and ability to illuminate just how ridiculous your plan is. Burr loved AA and the fellowship of men and women that became his family.
It is now time for those of us that knew and loved Burr to step up and be of service to Christina, his wife and the light of his life. All of the funds donated will be given to Christina to use towards funeral expenses and household expenses. Going from a two income household to a one income household is financially devastating and any help we can give will help ease the burden. The world was a better place with Burr in it and his death is a staggering loss. Please donate what you can!
