Hello everyone. My name is Brian and I'm setting up this GoFundMe as the official one to help cover the final expenses for my brother-in-law, Big Josh, and to help cover costs and expenses for my nephew, Little Josh. On July 14th, they were hit by a car that pulled in front of them in Lompoc. They often spent time together going on rides, enjoying each other's company, and working on their motorcycles and quads.

The night the accident happened, Big Josh lost his life. The last thing he said was, "Hold on, son... Hold on..." Little Josh said his dad tried to widen his stance and protect him from the impending impact. Unfortunately, he lost his life on impact and tried to do everything he could to protect his son.

First responders did everything they could but could not bring him back. Little Josh was somewhat cushioned from the initial impact of the accident but was also thrown from the accident and was critically injured. Little Josh required many units of blood and was rushed to a trauma center where they discovered several broken bones, both punctured lungs, as well as a broken neck which has left him paralyzed and fighting for his life.

He was transferred to LA Children's Hospital where he was given many surgeries for his spinal cord and neck. After receiving those, he was transferred to Cedars-Sinai Hospital to have his pelvis put back together and underwent reconstructive surgeries on his arms. He is still paralyzed at this point and still fighting infections and the mental strain of the accident and losing his dad and best friend.

This fundraiser will directly go to the final expenses of Big Josh and everything left will be used for the mounting costs of Josh's stay in LA where he will be for several more months while he gets stronger and hopefully will make progress in his situation.
